MAIN EVENT - Saturday at 8pm.
At 8 oclock on Saturday evening 21-6-07 - there will be barefoot dancing, didgeridoos, drumming and chanting with men, women and children at the Rath of the Synods. Meet friends here walking free on the Hill of Tara as Celts again. May many men and women walk hand in hand and barefoot and share a blanket under the stars on Tara once more. This is not a protest - it is a Celtic Celebration of Tara.

In ancient Gaul(France) Pagans honoured Epona the Horse Goddess and in ancient Cymru (Wales) Pagans honoured Rhiannon, the Horse Goddess at the time of the Summer Sun Standing. I reckon that we Gaels (Gaelic/Irish) honoured Edain Echraidhe, the White Mare Horse Goddess at this time of the longest day. Her sacred valley is the Gabhra, between the hills of Tara and Skryne where Opus Dei have their Irish HQ at Lismullin. Our corrupt government are trying to force a double troll road through this valley. They must be stopped.

In 2008, on the Summer Solstice many Celts of the modern world assemble to bring a Celtic Druids Blessing to Tara. This is the longest day and shortest night of the year and we gather for 24 hours from Sunrise on the morning of Saturday, the 21st and to stay until the sunrise on the morning of Sunday the 22nd of June. Celtic Druids will hold multiple ceremonies throughout the day and night. On this potent day/night we will call upon the God and Goddess to help us protect Ireland and especially TARA VALLEY. We will offer a Celtic Druids Blessing for Tara. We will hold a Healing Circle and then perform the symbolic lifting of the Blanket of Darkness from the land of Tara.

We will declare the Truth of the Light and re-activate the Celtic Stream of the Cosmic Tradition for the whole world to hear. This event is free and open to all. The mid summer event in 2008 is when the Sun bring us Light for the longest day / shortest night of the year. This is a very special time for all Pagans and those on a Celtic Path. I now, in the name of the Gods and the Goddesses, the Ancestors and the Heroes, do solemnly call upon all those on the Celtic Spiritual Path from wherever on Earth they may be, to join us at Holy Tara from the rising of the Sun on the 21st till sunrise on the 22nd. The Authentic Druids of Celtia will hold multiple ceremonies throughout the day and night. We will declare the Truth of the Light and re-activate the Celtic Stream of the Cosmic Tradition for the whole world to hear. This event is free and open to all.

Details of Ceremonies, Saturday 21st June and Sunday 22nd of June 2008
Sunrise on Saturday 21st June

This opening ceremony is called Filti iri na Grine (Welcoming the Sunrise) and its format is very basic. We gather in silence before dusk at Rath Grainne and look precisely 45 degrees east of north to a point on the horizon where the Solstice Sun will rise. There will not be any words spoken by any facilitator or leader, we just gather face the right direction forget our watches meditate and breathe deeply calling the Suns energy into our Auras.
We will practice the ancient art of An Naladoir (literally the Cloud Watcher, but its real meaning is - One who watches the Skies). We will see the false sun of the dawn appear and begin its assent as a large glowing orb and then the real Sun will climb up into this false sun and the two will merge into one. We will see this true Sun begin to rise up and move south as it shrinks to its real size. In your minds eye you are (hopefully) going to mark its rising point on the horizon for future reference for the Sunrise position on the other dates of the Eightfold Solar Year. You will repeat this on the Sunset later this day. From this experience you will have a sense of place and entered into the knowledge of Celtic Time.
You are asked to join us at Rath Grainne on or before 04:15

UISCE / WATER Early Morning Saturday 21st June.

This second ceremony of the day is called Beannacht an Tobar - (Blessing the Well) and is a formal Ritual Ceremony for Water. Those who wish to have an active role in this ceremony are asked to bring water from your local holy well or from home. We will meet at the old Holy Well just down the south road past the shop and old bookshop called Tara Hall. This ancient well carries many names; some of these are - The Healer, Dark Eye, and Well of the White Cow. You are asked to leave your car in the main car park to facilitate the use of the parking space near the well for those with a mobility challenge. We do not recommend drinking the waters from this well because of the probability of pollution by animals. A ritual ceremony will be given in Celtic Irish and at the appropriate time there will be an English explanation. You will be shown how to bless water and then this water will be kept until the Ceremony for Earth at 8pm (ie - the barefoot dancing and drumming). Please bring your own glass bottle for this work. To be held at the Tara Well from 08:30

TINE / FIRE Midday on Saturday 21st June.

The third ceremony of the day is called Deasgnath an Grien Tairisem - (Ceremony of the Sun Standing) and is a formal Ritual Ceremony for Fire In old Celtic Irish this special time is given as Grien Tairisem which means Sun Standing. This is very different to the Latin word Solstice meaning Sun Stopped or the Catholic Irish word Grianstad also meaning Sun Stopped. The phrase Grien Tairisem is a much more accurate and conscious description of what happens and was the term used by the Celtic Druids of old. The truth is that the Sun does not stop at all but that the Planet Earth changes its angle to the Sun God - therefore it is disingenuous to speak or think of the Sun God stopping in any way.
This ceremony will be held in Celtic Irish when the Sun has risen to its highest point of the Solar Year. For those who wish to play an active role - when we gather for this ceremony we will all face the Sun with our eyes closed. We will then turn 180 degrees to place the Sun on our backs. Now we open our eyes to see our shadow. It is at this time of the year that our shadow is smallest and we are reminded that it is only by standing in the Light that we can have a shadow. Embrace your shadow it is a part of you too. We then hold our ceremony for Fire.
To be held on the highest point of Tara at the Mound of the Hostages from 12:00

TALAMH / EARTH Evening on Saturday 21st June.

The fourth ceremony of the day is called Beannacht Drui Ceilteach ar Teamhair (Celtic Druids Blessing on Tara) and is a formal Ritual Ceremony for the Earth. Those who wish to have an active part in this ceremony are asked to bring some precious or semi-precious quartz stones to make a round circle for the Altar. You will expect to leave these stones for someone else to take home and you will take a different stone home too. After this ceremony for Earth the circle of stones will remain to receive the accelerated energy from the second part of this ritual. You may collect a highly charged stone afterwards and return it to your alter or sanctuary / shrine.
We will offer a Celtic Druids Blessing for Tara. We will do this with happiness; bring drums and didgeridoos and be ready to dance barefoot. Those who will make the music will please assemble early and agree to a plan. At the appointed signal all music and dancing will stop. It is at this point that the Celtic Druids in the centre circle will give the Blessing. At the second signal all the drumming, whistling and barefoot dancing will begin again.
To be held at The Rath of the Synods from 20:00

AER / AIR Sunset on Saturday 21st June.

The fifth ceremony of the day is called Deasgnath Lu Grine, Beannacht an tAer (Ceremony for the Sunset) and is a formal Ritual Ceremony for Air. Those who wish to have an active part in this ceremony are asked to bring some brightly coloured ribbons on thin flagpole such as bamboo to wave in the wind as we watch the setting Sun and the Moon rise over Tara. The proposed colour matching pairs are Brown and Green for North / Earth, Red and Green for South / Fire, Blue and Orange for Water and West, and last but not least: Purple and Gold for East / Air. These are the colours used by the Celtic Druids of the Dark Moon Grove and we ask that you align with our intention.
The spoken ceremony is in Celtic Irish and is of short duration. It is at this time of the evening that the warmth and light of the Sun begins to fade from us and we now seek the Light of the Moon and the warmth of our Celtic Mantles / Blankets. We will look to the west to see the sun setting. We will prepare the Ritual of Protection sacred vigil before final sunset.
To be held at the Fairy Tree from 23:00

From Darkness on Saturday 21st June.

This is a formal Ritual of Protection for Tara as held on Tara on every Full Moon since Samhain 2003 and we hold this on Saturday midnight. Those who wish to have an active part in this ceremony are asked to bring some water from your home place. Full details of this (free and open) moonthly Celtic Druids ritual activity are on this website. We will during this ceremony call in the four directions and elements, the four-quarter signs of the zodiac and the four archangel stars to assist us. We will call upon the ancestors and the Gods of old and our teachers of today, we will call on the guardians of the Light and upon the stars and Moon to help us in our work. We will hold a Healing Circle and then perform the symbolic lifting of the Blanket of Darkness from the land of Tara. To be held at The Gravel Patchat midnight. It is at this ceremony that we will continue with the public "Dreaming the Celtic Goddess" - given as follows -

Tara's Celtic Goddess Dreaming
- a suggested midnight visualisation located in the high valley of Tara -

"Tall leafy trees behind a Lady in White sitting on a White Mare; she leans forward offering a branch of thirteen leaves to three Celtic Women who open their hands to receive and reflect the old ways again. Eight Celtic Men form a semi circle around the three Celtic Women facing the Horse Goddess who emits a gentle white Light. Peace and Calm. Then, the neighing of a wild horse and the thunder of many hooves and the White Mare lifts her head to the gallop responding to the call to run free in the sacred valley... The 'Three Ladies and the Eight Men' of Tara step back enraptured in the graceful movement of the herd. This Fairy Host gallops along the entire Valley of the White Mare and down to the River of the Cow Goddess and back again, no fences or gates - just lush rolling grasslands edged by forest and overlooked by Rath Lugh and Rath Miles. Their free raw energy bursts through the mask of illusions every night at midnight. Light and freshness evolves in their space."

Tara' Celtic Goddess Heritage Park
Join the visualisation / meditation / journeying at 23:59 Irish time, every night and heartlink to the Dreaming. The White Mares name is Edain Echraidhe and she lives in Ireland's Celtic Goddess Heritage Park in the sacred valley of Tara. We suggest Rath Lugh as a focus for sending to. The co-ordinates of Rath Lugh are 693,829 / 761,317 and this magnificent monument is covered in trees, many of which are huge oaks and beech.
This desire dreaming of a Celtic Goddess Heritage Park around Tara's sacred valley is to give substance to the White Mare as an expression of the Celtic Horse Goddess who then exposes those who seek to destroy the High Valley of the Royal City of Tara. But the night Mare is also kind and gentle and she will offer a lift to those who seek a return to the Light again, if asked properly.
Sunrise on Sunday 22nd June

This closing ceremony is called Filti iri na Grine (Welcoming the Sunrise) and its format is the same as the opening ceremony. From this 24-hour experience you will have a sense of place and entered deeply into the knowledge of the Celtic Path. You have created a modern myth, a true story of the land for your children and grandchildren to connect with the magic of the land and their ancestry as Celts.
You are asked to join us at Rath Grainne on or before 04:15

This is the end of the details; the Gods and Goddesses will supply all other information.

It is my wish that the work of this night and day celebrates Tara and protects its Landscape Setting from all Troll Roads forever. May the memory of this night live on in magical story telling as the Great Gathering on the Summer Solstice for the Tara Pilgrimage 2008 as we protect the Spiritual Jewel of Ireland by the Celtic Druids Rituals of Protection for Tara.

Participants are asked to observe the following guidelines -

Do not bring alcoholic drink or recreational drugs or religious / english / european flags or ceremonial / live weapons or mobile phones or rockets. Do not light any fires on the bare ground.

Please bring a Quartz Crystal or some other magic stone from your homeland to add the vibrational resonance to the lifting of the curse, wear Celtic Costume, a mantle / blanket, bring; home cooked food, living water, drums, didgeridoos, candles, high energy and an open heart.

Con Connor, Celtic Druid, Dark Moon Grove - will facilitate these ritual ceremonies with the assistance of many good friends. Con is - an Ard Dru lis an Doire Geallach Doracha, ire
