Those of us involved in the Campaign to Save Tara have launched a petition online, calling for the 'reburial of graves' dug up during the construction of the M3 motorway in the Tara/Skryne valley.
Two significant royal graveyards were destroyed (dating between 1,500 and 100 AD), that consisted of almost a hundred individual graves. These two graveyards were situated at Collierstown and Ardsallagh. There are also a number of other individual graves destroyed during construction.
We are hoping to collect 50,000 signatures and pressure the Irish Government into reburying our ancestors in the immediate vicinity of where they were originally laid to rest.
If you could please sign the petition, and ask five of your friends to do likewise, we'd be firmly on the track to collecting enough signatures in the coming months. Thanking you in advance.
