Hi to all students and members, and a warm welcome to our newest members,
The next “Ritual of Protection” for and on Tara will be at 8pm on the Full Moon, Friday 12 December 08, nine days before the Sun enters Capricorn. We will start our ceremony by 8ish and finish by ten. Meet on the gravel patch beside the Rath of the Synods at 8pm. We will use our native Celtic Irish language during this ceremony with explanations in English. All are welcome to attend this free and open ritual ceremony on Tara.
This year the Winter Sun Standing is on Sunday, the 21st of Dec. We honour this turning point of the Eightfold Solar Year by holding a noon ceremony for when the Sun is at its highest for the day and due south. This is held in the car park area in front of Bru Na Boinne (Newgrange) so anyone wishing to join us should be aware that we do not go through the Interpretive Centre – we drive straight to the car park in front of the Bru. Many road signs have been removed so careful forward planning is needed for first timers. After the ceremony we go to the Cunningham Arms hotel in Slane for our dinner.
An essay that may be of interest to you about my opinion on our need to return to Brehon Law is at http://www.druidschool.com/site/1030100/page/2208837
As always we seek contributions from our membership, just submit something with your name and tell us where to fit your article / essay by naming this spot in the subject box.

Response Time
Quick replies are not possible because I am not on line at home. Our new Druidschool premises are in Castlerea, Co Roscommon and we are prepared for our first winter. We offer some weekend workshops for 2009 – please see Press Releases. My order of response is Student Druids, Druidschool members and then casual callers.
