World Druid Order / Ordre des Druides
We recognize that the present dominant culture has been founded on violence, war, imposition, discrimination and the dictatorship of unique thinking and that this may be referred to as fascism. The philosophical conception of the regular Druids is contrary, stands for a non-violent culture comprised of tolerance, of dialogue, of solidarity and bigger discernment, extolling the harmonious blossoming of the human being in a respected natural environment. Many of our contemporaries share this vision, but currently we are without sufficient structure to permit a bigger blossoming of it.
Several experiences / mergings between traditions have been tempted. Until this day, they were not very successful. Dogmatic obedience’s, full of themselves with intolerant attitudes have prevented a bigger fraternity among traditions to achieve themselves.
Not wanting to exclude these too authoritative organizations, it seems at present that it is more appropriate to achieve union of the different respectful traditions first (with all their diversity), and to see in this diversity a wealth for all rather than a handicap. These different obedience’s seem to obey the same archetypes as descended from the same Source. It is why we speak of the enduring Primordial Tradition in consideration of this common archetype.
We now attempt to make you a part of our efforts with regard to the edification of an international structure having for its goal the idea to unite the various groupings of regular initiatic traditions on our respectful planet of the Primordial Tradition, in order to assure a harmonious transition of the contemporary dominant culture toward a just culture for all to come.
By ‘various groupings’, we mean - Colleges, Orders, Groves, Nemetons and Traditions. For us it is about various groupings professing in their breast an initiatic teaching respectful of the identity of all, in the mind of the goals described above. As example see the regular Buddhist tradition (that follows a rule in agreement with the Primordial Tradition), the regular Orders of Druids, a number of Masonic obedience’s, etc, but also all wise beings who connect to and honour the wisdom traditions of the Amerindian, African, Siberian aboriginal nations.
On the other hand, we express reticence and the strongest apprehensions with regard to certain proselyte obedience’s, whose propagation is more often based on the sword, the torment and the oppression during centuries, and of which their most virulent representatives have not given up such degrading and unacceptable methods. And of which it is necessary to examine with the biggest prudence allegations of some of their less fanatical members, certainly, but whose soothing words are often in contradiction with their attitude on the facts. So, some may ask forgiveness of their exactions, at the same time they get worried of the organized threat by the new growth of old Traditions, abusively qualified of pagan, with the most pejorative connotation that either, and extol a missionary proselytism of most aggressive and of most demagogic to convert these so-called « pagan » to their « veritatis splendor »! Our Tradition has suffered this persecution during seventeen centuries by now!
Such intolerant « religious» groups with such exclusive positions cannot be admitted to the Order. That they may impose fear on the people again we denounce. We respect their beliefs and we do not reject dialogue with them. We require them to take conscience of their dictatorial excess, of their lack of conscience and their lack of compassion.
Thus, that some of these groups beg « pardon » of these criminal exactions won't be sufficient to accept them as fully trusted among us. It will be necessary that they present sufficiently convincing proofs of their decision to change. Repairing the ominous consequences of their abuses to their victims and facilitating the restitution/restoration of the many confiscated sanctuaries can be seen as a visible brotherly sharing with other traditions. Because of that, we have started modestly with a small number of sure representatives as noted by their personal qualities.
Our European tradition of the Druids always taught, « Quality always prevails on the Quantity ». This is shared with a lot of other traditions on many continents.
A certain number among them have already joined us; others get ready to do so. Of others again, that we could not have contacted to this day will make it also, probably when they know of who we are and what we do.
It is why, here today that we, the small nucleus that already exists - launch a call to you all, our aboriginal brothers of Australia, America, Asia, Oceania, the Indian ocean and Europe with all your respected particularisms, notably our brothers masons, all being aware of the multi millennial heritage that was bequeathed to you from your ancestors to join us, based on your respect for the ethics of the Universal Charter of human rights *.
Join us in Union de la Tradition Primordiale Universelle (Universal Primordial Tradition Union). This Union is our common denominator and it is beyond of the diversity of our differences. With us, you will be able to work usefully to create a more respectful society for your natural legitimate rights, of the rights of every individual, of every nation, to fully exercise his/her/its responsible sovereignty, for the biggest profit of all, without exclusion.
This World to come will take account respectfully of each of your particularities and each of your experiences as indispensable elements to the common Knowledge.
