The Sun enters the Star sign of Cancer at 5:47 GMT on the 21st of June 2009. Sunrise on Tara is at 4:57 and we will gather at 4am to watch this Sunrise on Rath Grainne. We will bless water at 8am at the Well of the Dark Eye and have a noon Sun Ceremony at the Mound of the Hostages. Our dance and drum circle will be at 8pm on the Rath of the Synods and we finish with a Sun set gathering by the Fairy tree. All are welcome to these free ceremonies - bring a drum and an open heart.

Last year (2008) the gathering at Tara carried a heavy anger from the state authorities through their henchmen (security) and this was accompanied by very bad weather. It was not a safe place for anyone by government design. Our freedom to gather to express our spirituality is guaranteed to us in
