Celtic Druids Newsletter

LIBRARY >> Newsletter Archive Hi to all students and members, and a warm welcome to our newest members,

The next "Ritual of Protection" for and on Tara will be on the Full Moon
on Sunday 4th of Oct 09, 19 days before the Sun has entered Scorpio. We will
start our Full Moon Ceremony by 8ish and finish by ten (approx.) Dress in
layers and meet on the gravel patch beside the Rath of the Synods at 8pm. We
will use our native Celtic Irish language during this ceremony with
explanations in English. All are welcome to attend this free and open ritual
ceremony on and for Tara. Bring a stone for the Collierstown Cairn to this
ceremony, you may place it in the centre of our circle and it will get added
to the Ancestor Memorial Cairn.

Celtic New Year

We will hold our Dark Moon Ceremony for the Celtic New Year on
Sunday the 18th of October 09. We begin at Tlachtga at 4pm at the Druids Well
and up to the hill top by sunset for the first of three fires on three sacred
sites. This first fire will be made from a pure new flame generated by a male
and female druid from our grove. We take this flame to Tara for our second
fire at 8pm. Here people are welcomed to join us on Tara in ceremony and to
take home a new flame to start the new year. Then we head to Sliabh na
Callighe for 12am for the third fire. All fires are with sacred wood and are
held in a cast iron firebox that sits in a circular steel basin - no damage to
the earth or archaeology readings. Drui, Drui Fasach, Drui Daltai and friends
are welcome to attend.
