Hi to all students and members, and a warm welcome to our newest members,
The next "Ritual of Protection" for and on Tara will be on the Full Moon on Wednesday 2nd of December 09, 19 days before the Sun has entered Capricorn. We will start our Full Moon Ceremony by 8ish and finish by ten (approx.) Dress in layers and meet on the gravel patch beside the Rath of the Synods at 8pm. We will use our native Celtic Irish language during this ceremony with explanations in English. All are welcome to attend this free and open ritual ceremony on and for Tara. Bring a stone for the Ancestor Memorial Cairn at Collierstown to this ceremony, you may place it in the centre of our circle and it will get added to the Ancestor Memorial Cairn.
The Winter Sun Standing for 2009 is on Monday 21st of December and we will be on Rathkinnely‘s recently discovered henge at Cruachan (Queen Meave’s Rath Croghan) for the rising of the Sun. We will head on to Bru na Boinne for our traditional midday ceremony to honour the the Sun as it stands still on the shortest day. We have been invited to lunch by a friend after wards - so if you wish to join us (and you are known to us) please make contact first.
