Hi to all students and members, and a warm welcome to our newest members,
The next "Ritual of Protection" for and on Tara will be on the Full Moon on Saturday 30th of January (Eclipse), 19 days before the Sun has entered Pisces. We will start our Full Moon Ceremony by 8ish and finish by ten (approx.) Dress in layers and meet on the gravel patch beside the Rath of the Synods at 8pm. We will use our native Celtic Irish language during this ceremony with explanations in English. All are welcome to attend this free and open ritual ceremony on and for Tara. Bring a stone for the Ancestor Memorial Cairn at Collierstown to this ceremony, you may place it in the centre of our circle and it will get added to the Ancestor Memorial Cairn.
The eclipse will not be visible from anywhere in Ireland but it is to be visible in East Africa and Asia. A lot of fluff has been made about this 'blue'*** moon, but it is just fluff because the occurrence of two full moons in one calendar month is all based on a Catholic engineered calendar that is only 200 years old. Our ancestors used the Belt of the Zodiac and our passage through it to measure time. Technically this is sidereal time or Natural Time and is referred to by the Maya even today.
Imbolg 2010 is on Saturday 30th of January as well and we intend to gather in circle at noon by the (so called) Mound of the Hostages on Tara when we honour Brigid with ceremony. This date - Saturday 30th of January 2010 is also the night of the full moon and we will also be on Tara at 8 to 10pm. A day of sun and moon ceremony on the Hill of Tara and all are welcome to join us for these free and open ceremonies.

***Correction The blue moon ie two full moons in a calendar month was in December 09 and not in Jan 10. There is a partial eclipse on the new and again on the full moon during January 2010. But there are not 2 full moons in January 2010. Thanks Anne
