Hi to all students and members, and a warm welcome to our new members,
We have had an interesting few weeks since our last newsletter. We held our third Medieval Live Weapons Tournament - winner Dave 'Mercat' Hodson, pictures at RoscommonSword on Facebook.
We had a fire - all equipment associated with our off grid wind turbine set up including our stand by diesel generator went on fire - no body was hurt, details on our DruidSchool page on Facebook and this includes a little video. We attended Eigse Spiriod Ceilteach - a great event with glorious weather, my lecture notes are below and photo's are at Eigse Spiriod Ceilteach on Facebook - There has been great interest in our Introduction Days � the next one on the 21st of August is booked out and the following Introduction Day is on 11 Sept.
Some sad news Isacc Bonewits, a highly respected Pagan elder in America has passed over. He had been suffering from cancer and memorials are being held this Saturday all over the world. You can show support by posting at http://www.facebook.com/isaac.phaedra.bonewits
Full Moon, Tuesday 24th of August 2010
The next "Ritual of Protection" for and on Tara will be hosted on the Full Moon the day after the Sun has entered Virgo. We will start our Full Moon Ceremony by 8ish and finish by ten (approx.) Dress in layers and meet on the gravel patch beside the Rath of the Synods at 8pm. We will use our native Celtic Irish language during this ceremony with explanations in English. All are welcome to attend this free and open ritual ceremony on and for Tara. Please bring a rock to add to our ceremony and this will be added to the Ancestor Memorial Cairn at Collierstown the next day.

We will hold private ceremony here in Castlerea at 8pm in our purpose built ceremonial enclosure. All Drui Daltai, Drui Fasach, those on our usual invitation guest list and everyone who has attended any of our Introduction Days are welcome to attend.

You can now visit us here at Druidschool - this is an opportunity for those who may have interest in our Spiritual Tradition, Sli an Drui, to be with us and experience the Celtic Path. The two-hour class sets out to explain and share a way of atunement to the 3 Cauldrons within, the 3 Realms in the outer world and Sacred Time as a basis for connecting to the Celtic Druid Path.
