Energising the Celtic Stream of Spirituality at Tara by LIFTING THE PRIESTS CURSEad565 and offering a CELTIC DRUIDS BLESSING FOR TARA on the FULL MOON SUMMER SOLSTICE 2005
In 2005, on the Summer Solstice - the Heavenly Union of the Sun and Full Moon at the mid-point of the bright half of the year gives us 24 hours of Light that re-align us with the Celtic Calendar and true sidereal time. This Heavenly Union of the Sun and Moon has huge implications for re-energising and manifesting of the whole Celtic Stream of Spirituality in the western world today. It is of incredible importance for Ireland as the Celts of the modern world assemble to bring a Celtic Druids Blessing to Tara.
There is to be a great gathering of all on the Celtic Path from across the globe to assemble on Tara for the Sunrise on the morning of Tuesday, the 21st and to stay until the sunrise on the morning of Wednesday the 22nd of June. Celtic Druids will hold multiple ceremonies throughout the day and night and we will tend a sacred fire from sunset to sunrise. On this potent day/night we will call upon the God and Goddess to help us SAVE TARA VALLEY. We will lift the Curse of the 12 Apostle Saints on Tara and replace it with The Celtic Druids Blessing for Tara. We will hold the Full Moon Ceremony - “Ritual of Protection” as held on Tara since Samhain 03 on every Full Moon. We will hold a ‘Healing Circle’ and then perform the symbolic lifting of the Blanket of Darkness from the land of Tara. This is then followed by a second ritual of the night called An Geis Triarach – (The Triple Geis). Celtic Druids will hold this potent spell casting ceremony and public participation is of a passive nature. The intention is to block the M3 toll road being built within a three mile radius of the Mound of the Hostages, the centre of the 100 acre park on Tara Hill.
We will declare the Truth of the Light and re-activate the Celtic Stream of the Cosmic Tradition for the whole world to hear. This event is free and open to all. There will be barefoot dancing, digerydoos, drumming and chanting with men, women and children walking free on the Hill of Tara as Celts again. May many men and women walk hand in hand and barefoot and share a blanket under the full moon and stars on Tara once more.
This is not a protest - it is a Celebration of Tara.
There are two major Celestial Events in 2005. The mid summer event in 2005 is when the Sun and Full Moon combine to bring us their Light for a full 24 hours on the longest day / shortest night of the year. This is a very special time for those on a Celtic Path because this Full Moon is on the shortest night after the longest day of the Sun. The Solstice Sun and the Full Moon will be seen together on this day/night and the Ancient Law of “As above – So below” seeks expression of this conjugal union on Earth. The Solstice Sun and Full Moon together will empower and establish strong links with the magical awareness of all on a Celtic Path with that of the God and Goddess. It is by our conscious participation that this Heavenly Union can bear fruit on Earth. We can ground these Heavenly Energies with Love and actually be that magical link to Planet Earth. The true Summer Solstice is when the Sun enters the Sign of Cancer in the Belt of the Zodiac and this year this is at 06:47 on Tuesday, the 21st of June 2005. As the Sun sets in the west the Full Moon will be rising in the east and on Wednesday, the 22nd of June at 04:15 the Lunar Goddess will be in exact Full Moon phase in the first degrees of Capricorn as the Sun rises in the east. What this means is that in 2005 - the longest day has a full moon through the shortest night = 24 hours of Sun and Moon shining their Light on us.
I now, in the name of the Gods and the Goddesses, the Ancestors and the Heroes, do solemnly call upon all those on the Celtic Spiritual Path from wherever on Earth they may be, to join us at Holy Tara from the rising of the Sun on the 21st till sunrise on the 22nd.
The Authentic Druids of Celtia will hold multiple ceremonies throughout the day and night and we will tend a sacred fire from sunset to sunrise. On this potent day/night, which has such powerful energetic potential, we will call upon the Sun and Moon so that they may assist us to SAVE TARA VALLEY. We will lift the Curse of the 12 Apostle Saints on Tara, which we will then replace with The Blessing of the Authentic Celtic Druids for Tara. We will hold the Full Moon Ceremony - “Ritual of Protection” as held on Tara since Samhain 03 on every Full Moon. We will hold a ‘Healing Circle’ and then perform the symbolic lifting of the Blanket of Darkness from the land of Tara. The true Druids will hold a powerful spell casting ceremony the aim of which is to block the proposed Toll Road as well as the imprisoning of the site of Tara by Bureaucrats looking for $ Bucks by high wire fencing and limiting free access in time. Celtic Druids will hold this and public participation is of a passive nature.

Sunrise on Tuesday 21st June
This opening ceremony is called Fáiltiú Éiri na Gréine – (Welcoming the Sunrise) and its format is very basic. We gather in silence before dusk at Rath Grainne and look precisely 45degrees east of north to a point on the horizon where the Solstice Sun will rise. There will not be any words spoken by any facilitator or leader, we just gather – face the right direction – forget our watches – meditate and breathe deeply calling the Sun’s energy into our Auras.
We will practice the ancient art of An Néaladoir (literally the Cloud Watcher, but its real meaning is - One who watches the Skies). We will see the false sun of the dawn appear and begin its assent as a large glowing orb and then the real Sun will climb up into this false sun and the two will merge into one. We will see this true Sun begin to rise up and move south as it shrinks to its real size. In your minds eye you are (hopefully) going to mark its rising point on the horizon for future reference for the Sunrise position on the other dates of the Eightfold Solar Year. You will repeat this on the Sunset later this day. From this experience you will have a sense of place and entered into the knowledge of Celtic Time.

UISCE / WATER Early Morning 21st June.
This second ceremony of the day is called Beannacht an Tobar - (Blessing the Well) and is a formal Ritual Ceremony for Water. Those who wish to have an active role in this ceremony are asked to bring water from your local holy well or from home. We will meet at the old Holy Well just down the south road past the shop and old bookshop called Tara Hall. This ancient well carries many names; some of these are - ‘The Healer’, ‘Dark Eye’, and ‘Well of the White Cow’. You are asked to leave your car in the main car park to facilitate the use of the parking space near the well for those with a mobility challenge. We do not recommend drinking the waters from this well because of the probability of pollution by animals.
A ritual ceremony will be given in Celtic Irish and at the appropriate time there will be an English explanation. You will be shown how to bless water and then this water is added to the outflow of the Holy Well.

TINE / FIRE Midday on Tuesday 21st June.
The third ceremony of the day is called Deasgnath an Grien Tairisem - (Ceremony of the Sun Standing) and is a formal Ritual Ceremony for Fire In old Celtic Irish this special time is given as “Grien Tairisem” which means ‘Sun Standing’. This is very different to the Latin word ‘Solstice’ meaning ‘Sun Stopped’ or the Catholic Irish word ‘Grianstad’ also meaning ‘Sun Stopped’. The phrase “Grien Tairisem” is a much more accurate and conscious description of what happens and was the term used by the Celtic Druids of old. The truth is that the Sun does not stop at all but that the Planet Earth changes its angle to the Sun God - therefore it is disingenuous to speak or think of the Sun God stopping in any way.
This ceremony will be held in Celtic Irish when the Sun has risen to its highest point of the Solar Year. For those who wish to play and active role - when we gather for this ceremony we will all face the Sun with our eyes closed and then turn 180 degrees to the right thereby placing the Sun on our backs. Now we open our eyes to see our shadow. It is at this time of the year that our shadow is smallest and we are reminded that it is only by standing in the Light that we can have a shadow. Embrace your shadow – it is a part of you too. We then hold our ceremony for Fire.

TALAMH / EARTH Evening on Tuesday 21st June.
The fourth ceremony of the day is called Beannacht Draoi Ceilteach ar Teamhair (Celtic Druids Blessing on Tara) and is a formal Ritual Ceremony for the Earth. Those who wish to have an active part in this ceremony are asked to bring some precious or semi-precious quartz stones to make a circle around the Altar. You will expect to leave this stone for someone else to take home and you will take a different stone home too. You will be shown how to cleanse and charge the quartz’s to help hold the energy for ceremony. After this ceremony for Earth the circle of stones will remain to receive the accelerated energy from the second part of this ritual. You may collect a highly charged stone afterwards and return it to your alter or sanctuary / shrine.
After this ceremony we will break the priests curse on Tara. This curse was laid by the 12 apostle saints of Ireland around 565 ad – and included the line "desolate be Tara for ever and ever". The men of the church of fear laid this curse through fasting, chanting and the rattling of a branch with little silver bells. We are the Celtic Church of Love and we will break this curse and replace it with a Celtic Druids Blessing for Tara. We will do this lifting of the priests curse on Tara with happiness; bring drums and diggerydoos and be ready to dance barefoot. Those who will make the music will please assemble early and agree to a plan. At the appointed signal all music and dancing will stop. It is at this point that the Celtic Druids in the centre circle will give the Blessing. At the second signal all the drumming, whistling and barefoot dancing will begin again.

AER / AIR Sunset on Tuesday 21st June.
The fifth ceremony of the day is called Deasgnath Luí Gréine, Beannacht an tAer – (Ceremony for the Sunset) and is a formal Ritual Ceremony for Air. Those who wish to have an active part in this ceremony are asked to bring some brightly coloured ribbons on thin flagpole such as bamboo to wave in the wind as we watch the setting Sun and the Moon rise over Tara. The proposed colour matching pairs are – Brown and Green for North / Earth, Red and Green for South / Fire, Blue and Orange for Water and West, and last but not least: Purple and Gold for East / Air. These are the colours used by the Celtic Druids of the Dark Moon Grove and we ask that you align with our intention.
The spoken ceremony is in Celtic Irish and is of short duration. It is at this time of the evening that the warmth and light of the Sun begins to fade from us and we now seek the Light of the Moon and the warmth of our Celtic Mantles / Blankets. We will look to the East to see the Moon rise and to the south to see the planets Venus and Mercury and to the west to see the sun setting. We will prepare the “Ritual of Protection” sacred fire before final sunset.

COSAINT GEIS From Darkness on Wednesday 22nd June
The first ceremony of the night is called Deasgnáth an Geallach Bán - (Full Moon Ceremony - “Ritual of Protection”) and is a formal “Ritual of Protection” for Tara as held on Tara since Samhain 03 on every Full Moon. Those who wish to have an active part in this ceremony are asked to bring some natural wood from your home place / local woods for the Sacred Fire. Full details of this (free and open) moonthly Celtic Druids ritual activity are on this website. We will during this ceremony call in the four directions and elements, the four quarter signs of the zodiac and the four archangel stars to assist us. We will call upon the ancestors and the Gods of old and our teachers of today, we will call on the guardians of the Light and upon the stars and Full Moon to help us in our work. We will hold a ‘Healing Circle’ and then perform the symbolic lifting of the Blanket of Darkness from the land of Tara.
This is then followed by a second ritual of the night called An Geis Triarach – (The Triple Geis). Celtic Druids will hold this potent spell casting ceremony and public participation is of a passive nature. The intention is to block the toll road. Throughout these two ritual ceremonies of the night we will tend a sacred fire, symbolically holding the Light of the Sun.
We encourage people to warm the hands and to feed the fire only after the two nighttime rituals are completed.

This closing ceremony is called Fáiltiú Éiri na Gréine – (Welcoming the Sunrise) and its format is the same as the opening ceremony. We gather in silence before dusk at Rath Grainne and look precisely 45degrees east of north to a point on the horizon where the Solstice Sun will rise. There will not be any words spoken by any facilitator or leader, we just gather – face the right direction – forget our watches – meditate and breathe deeply calling the Sun’s energy into our Auras. From this 24-hour experience you will have a sense of place and entered deeply into the knowledge of the Celtic Path. You have created a modern myth, a true story of the land for your children and grandchildren to connect with the magic of the land and their ancestry as Celts.
