SAVE TARA / SKRYNE VALLEY CAMPAIGN
PO Box 30 Tara, Co. Meath. Republic of Ireland
19th May 2005
A Meeting of Minds
To the campaigners of Ireland,
What is happening at Tara is happening all over the country. Small groups of people are protesting at how our heritage is being thrust aside in the pursuit of profit. Groups who are working for the preservation of what is good in our country and working for change on what prevents us from moving into a more tolerant, sustainable and enjoyable future for all. We are working for many different goals, but many of the obstacles to achieving those goals are the same.
We would like to invite representatives of your group to a meeting of minds in Charleville Castle on June 4th 2005. We are interested in exploring how we could work together on the common ground shared between all our campaigns. We are only minorities because most people aren't looking. Come and be heard before the assembled minorities of Ireland. Let us find a new strength in numbers, and bring local issues to the attention of the nation.
Charleville Castle is just outside Tullamore, half an hour on foot from the railway station. We will provide a free bus service from the station to the castle for anyone who requires it. Ample parking is available in the castle grounds. Catering facilities are minimal, as it is a short event. Some groups will be meeting for lunch in Tullamore before coming out, but bring a packed lunch just in case. Tea, coffee and water will be available.
A series of presentations will be given at 2 pm followed by workshop discussion groups until 5pm. You are encouraged to prepare an outline of how your own campaign is going, though it's not essential! 5 minute presentations will be standard, with room for a number of longer presentations depending on demand.
Yours Sincerely,
Muireann Ni Bhrolchain (PRO Save the Tara Skryne Valley Group)
