Tara Report -
The excavators are now preparing to cut the grass and remove hedges in order to excavate for the double toll road. The area called Blundelstown on the northern slope of Tara is where the M3 double toll way is proposed to cross the existing N3. This is a 30-acre massive roundabout called an interchange with attendant plastic food, petrol stations, paddydisney and so on. It is owned by Cathal McCarthy – this man is a major funder of Fianna Fial. The test trenching was done with tracked 22 ton diggers and the same licence is to be used to do the main destruction. Our government is now blatantly fast-tracking-fascism. Currently there is reported to be over 40 sites on the 3 km stretch of toll road through the sacred high valley. Some of these sites are reported to be as big as three football pitches. Please visit http://www.tara-skryne.org/ and sign the petition – and spread the word. I am a committee member of the STSV group and very active in exposing this scandal. I seek your help – please support the initiatives of STSV. Write to UNESCO http://www.druidschool.com/site/1030100/page/502689 - the Irish Gov., even your own local political representative wherever you are and ask them to stop the destruction of the landscape setting of the Spiritual Jewel of Ireland. Write to the EU and ask them to protect this world heritage complex - see http://www.druidschool.com/site/1030100/page/528566 Get on to your local radio stations and tell the story – this is the Celtic Druid way.
Full Moon Summer Solstice on Tara -
On Tuesday 21 June and Wednesday 22 June we have the Full Moon on the Summer Solstice. We have set up TARA PILGRIMAGE 2005 - to lift the priests curse on Tara and to replace it with a Celtic Druids Blessing. This is a 24-hour event from Sunrise on Tuesday to Sunrise on Wednesday, which will also include Moonrise and Moonset. We will lift the curse (8pm Tue) with drumming; barefoot dancing with the crystal fire from the pilgrim's quartz's and then with many others - we will offer a Celtic Druids Blessing for Tara. If members of Druidschool can attend - please bring some small kindling and dress in layers, be sure to bring some Quartz for the Solstice. If members cannot attend but wish to support our intention remotely – please drum and dance barefoot from 8pm (Irish time) until 10pm. Our and your intent is to lift the darkness and reveal the Light. The above ceremonies on Tara are as always free and open to all.
