The Wild Hunt
The nights are growing longer the weather is growing colder. The animals are growing restless. Evil and Darkness have crept into the world. The Darkness is rising. Silently a lone figure waits, waits on the time of the hunt a time when he and all of his denizens will drive back the Darkness and the servants of the Dark.
The Great Lord of the Forest, the first and greatest hunter prepares. His great boar hounds grow restless with their anticipation. They know the night is near when they will be able to run and chase the minions of Darkness from every corner of the Earth. No rock unturned no cave unsearched no hiding place left. Spears sharpened Chariot oiled the night grows near. On the longest night the Great Hunter and his Wild Riders will ride.
Through the winter sky they move, swiftly as a flock of geese, as deadly as the venom of a mamba. From dusk to dawns first light the riders will hunt. As the first rays of mornings light encroach on the darkness the hunters tire from a night of wild pursuit. Once the sun has risen and blood lusts quenched the hunters will retire until once again the longest night is upon us and the darkness has risen again.
