TARA na RÍ The following is taken from Archaeology Ireland - Summer 2006

Most curious of all, however, is the fact that this site lies at the centre of a vast circular enclosure, part of which coincides with the townland boundary and the remainder of which has been mapped geophysically. It measures c. 170m in diameter-large enough to accommodate Croke Park's playing field. The existence of this concentric enclosure is largely ignored in the official report. This is a particularly unusual monument and, on account of its size and landscape context, is of enormous cultural significance. It may yet prove to be a unique form of henge, a ritual monument dating to the Early Bronze Age.

-archaeologist Joe Fenwick describing a site at Baronstown in the Gabhra Valley, one of 38 monuments to be affected by the new M3 motorway near the Hill of Tara (Village 11-17 May 2006)

http://www.m3motorway.ie/M3Background/ArchaeologicalInvestigation/Geophysics/#sec2 shows what the NRA allow to be seen about this monument that is about to be destroyed.

My comment -
When Mary Deevy gave her talk on Tara about the archaeology (see http://www.druidschool.com/site/1030100/page/857974) she said in response to a question I posed - "in terms of the overall landscape Tara Valley does not have more monuments than any other place". This is a calculated lie. The Baronstown ceremonial enclosure contains many individual sites and even the NRA's reports cannot deny this. It is a policy of diminish and dismiss that allows Mary Deevy to classify such a huge ritual complex ceremonial enclosure as one site.

She lies for money, her employer lies for even bigger money and there seems to be no legal way to stop this compounded lie.

Look at a paraphrased version of what Joe Fenwick (Archaeologist NUIG and a member of the Discovery Project in charge of Geophysical surveying in the Tara Region) said about Baronstown - a vast circular enclosure, of enormous cultural significance, a unique form of henge, a ritual monument dating to the Early Bronze Age.

Mary Devious, MCC/NRA who works for the road builders said - "in terms of the overall landscape Tara Valley does not have more monuments than any other place".

This is a well-paid form of professional blindness and our journalists and judiciary are unable to see because they too are compromised. Please pass this on and ask UNESCO and the European Commission to stop the destruction of the Royal City of Tara.
