Hi to all students and members, and a warm welcome to our newest members,
The next "Ritual of Protection" for and on Tara will be on the Full Moon on Thursday, the 7th of September, it will be an Eclipse, sixteen days before the Sun enters Libra (which happens just one day after the Eclipsed Dark Moon). We will start our ceremony by 8ish and finish by ten (approx) when we share the “The Celtic Goddess Dreaming“, which is a suggested visualisation located in the high valley of Tara see http://www.druidschool.com/site/1030100/page/837902 Dress in layers and meet on the gravel patch beside the Rath of the Synods at 8pm. We will use our native Celtic Irish language during this ceremony with explanations in English. All are welcome to attend this free and open ritual ceremony on and for Tara.
This year the Autumn Equinox is on Saturday, 23rd of September. This is equal day and equal night at the end of summer and the days now get noticeably shorter as the nights grow longer. We will honour this second harvest with private Ceremony for student druids and invited guests only.
The start of the Celtic Year (Lunar Samhain) is on Sunday, the 22nd of October this year CE 2006 when we have a huge family gathering of Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter just after the Moon (dark) moves over 10* of Scorpio. Simply put there will be six heavenly bodies in the one sign on this day. More at http://www.druidschool.com/site/1030100/page/707102 We will create a pure new flame at Tlachtga at sunset setting our first sacred fire of the new year, bring this to Tara for our second sacred fire for 8pm (where interested people can get their own pure new flame to bring home) and then we bring this sacred fire to Sliabh na Callighe for 12 in the night for our third sacred fire. This 12 hour / triple sacred fire night of ceremony starting at Ireland’s premier temple of Death and Rebirth is not for the faint hearted - so if you are interested in joining us please email info@druidschool.com and put ‘seeking Samhain Invitation’ in the subject box.
After Lunar Samhain 2006 CE, there will be a price rise on all courses, services and products available from Ireland’s Druidschool. Our prices have stood still for two years and the average increase will be about 20% - so if you have been hesitating about a course / service / product now is your chance to buy at a good (two year old) price.

Apologies to correspondents who expect a quick reply - this is due to my being in Dublin less and less as I create the new Druidschool premises and accommodation in Roscommon.
