LIBRARY >> TARA na Ri This report on Tara Valley and the forced troll road is a further attempt to alert the world to the savage attack on our ancient Celtic, Gaelic Culture and Heritage by a corrupt government. I have walked throughout the sacred valley of the Royal City of Tara and I have seen with my own eyes what has been done.

A few full excavations near the road side seems good policy until you understand that the top 2ft of topsoil which contains 80% of the artifacts was removed by 22 ton diggers and dumped. It is from these topsoil dumps that I have gathered the bones seen below.

Ancient Bones from Collierstown, Tara Valley

I had two little helpers as shown below. They had no fear of ghosts or spirits because they had an awareness of the ancestors and of Tara. The young boy and girl stayed with me on the spoil heaps and together we searched for human and animal bones and teeth. The image below shows the elbow end of the upper arm bone.

Ancestors Elbow at Tara Valley

This elbow bone was sitting out in the air on top of a pile of earth that had obviously been dumped by 22 ton diggers at the Collierstown site. My understanding is that the archaeologists never even bothered to look over the dumped earth. I asked the two young people to pose for a photo holding this elbow and they had no hesitation.

As the elbow showed (to me anyway) that there were human bones in the spoil I felt a sense of disgust at the complete lack of professionalism among the so called archaeologists. They were just in it for the money and their masters were just doing the bare minimum for the public relations factor. We began to gather up the discarded bones that had been dumped to one side. The image below shows what we gathered after 30 minutes or so.

There are just so many bones... Tara

These bones are human and animal and many horse teeth were found also. It is so hard to try to explain what one feels when confronted by such criminal abuse of our glorious history by the toll road pirates - that I will rely mostly on pictures. The image below shows the Collierstown site from a archaeological spoil heap looking north west. To stand on a mound of earth and bones and ash from the cremation fires while looking at the (once) stone lined graves and to see the concrete pipes that are intended to culvert the Gabhra Stream is scary. The stones that lined these cist graves are just dumped to one side.

On the bottom right of the image below you can see the black burnt earth from the cremation fires. You can see the trench that was hand dug many thousands of years ago to bring the water from the high bog up to the Royal City of Tara - this stream is called the Gabhra, scared to the White Mare Goddess - Edain Echraidhe. In the far ground the pipes to enclose this stream are visible. Beside these pipes is the access gate that is the key entry point to the valley for the troll road builder.

With my two little helpers, I took the discarded bones away to the gate. The little girl filled the front pouch of her hoodie and the boy carried bones in his arms. My pockets were full. When we got to the gate I was left "in charge" as the two young ones got a drink and something to eat. I laid the bones out in front of the gate to display them to any digger drivers. I added some stakes that were just lying around and created a definition of space for the bones. I then made the Awen symbol point towards the "wall of bones". The Awen symbol is the internationally accepted symbol of the Druid tradition. I set it up here to call the attention of the Druids of the World to what is happening at Tara.

This line of bones with the Awen is not casual or frivolous - it is a calling to all on a Path of Light in the Druid Tradition to support the Campaign to Save Tara. The gate behind me (on the east west road) is the entrance to the middle of Tara Valley. The next road up is the back road to Opus Dei HQ, which at one time was the Gold Road out of the Royal City to the coast but it is now a cul de sac ending at the back gate of the Opus Dei HQ at Lismullin.

The Awen, the Ancestors and the Druid

I arrived at Tara at 6:30am on Monday morning to "man" to gate with Niamh, my partner. A beautiful morning, clear skies, warm sun and a freshness in the air. I was delighted to see that the bones and Awen still existed as I had built them. On closer examination - I found that more bones had been added by the others and to my great suprise I saw that a second elbow had been found and that it mathched the first elbow quite nicely.

Two human elbows at Tara - from the spoil heap

Shame on the Government under Bertie Ahern, shame on Meath Co Co, shame on the NRA and shame on the archaeologists who just did not care.

If untrained casual observers can find so many ancient bones at Tara by just browsing the spoil heaps - can you guess how much more there is to be found by careful excavation? The extended complex of monuments at Tara Valley is the biggest archaeological complex in Ireland. It must be saved from the Opus Dei troll road.
