A letter to Pat Kenny RTE from Douglas Gordon
Dear Pat and company,
Thank you for an excellent programme from Tara and the Tara Valley. Unravelling the question of what the Lismullen Henge was used for. My strongest feeling is that it was possibly a Solar / Lunar / Stellar and planetary calendrical device.
Rational :
1.Newgrange and most other cairn structures started off with stone markers and or posts as demonstrated at the New grange interpretive centre, Courtesy, OPW , Irish Government. We all need to keep time and to be able to measure the seasonal progression in agrarian societies.
2. It is said that the study of Astronomy (science) and mathematics was born in Arabia and passed through Europe for the entire world to enjoy. How come the structures on most of our pre Christian sacred sites and standing stones all have an alignment relating to solar, lunar, stellar and planetary alignments dating back to some 5,000 years ago.
3. Most of our sacred sites are sacred because they are situated above crossing over underground streams, the consequence of which is an upward spiralling vortex of up lifting energy that animals and humans find very beneficial, similar to the effect founds at holy wells, centres of ‘Good’ vibrational energy . In order to hold this energy the Neolithic and Megalithic people carefully chose stones with plus and minus charges at opposing sides so that they could maintain the spiralling vortexing electromagnetic energy within an outer circular charge in the same way as we use batteries with opposing ends in a torch. Such sites where used for social , spiritual and communal rituals and the sites were extra energised by the astronomical alignments.
4. Please note that most sacred sites where built on the sacred geometry principles of Geometry of the Devine, ‘GOD’, for short. Have you heard of that name before somewhere?? These structures show the Feminine out line of natural order which is the circle or the sphere. The ‘celtic’ culture, Gael, more correctly, Gallish, from Galicia, in northwest Spain is feminine in nature, unlike the Roman / Anglo Saxons that is male and the symbol for maleness is square or cube.
5. Newgrange is the world reknowned site for our winter solstice, again recognised and loving restored by architects and the OPW to be a wonderful money spinner for Irish Tourism. The front stone at New Grange portrays many spirals showing an in- out relief, telling us of the day –night reversal of vortex energy over a spring crossing and how many such crossovers are under New Grange. The Diamond Lozanges between the spirals indicate the 14 cairns on the connecting ley/ magnetic line that passes NW through New Grange and up to Innis Murray in Sligo Bay. The line to the SE passes through Stonehenge, passes by Paris and Rome and ends in the in a well close to the Pyramids in Egypt. Ref. : Michael Poynder: ‘PI in the sky’. Irish Author, West Port.
6. New Grange to the north ,Tara to the west, Four Knocks to the East and Tallaght Hill 40 miles to the south provide a 40 mile long piece of trigonometry that would have allowed our Neolithic ancestors to get an exact fix on the universal cosmic planetary position. If you doubt me, consult the K-52 rear stone at New Grange that shows the constellation of Draco amongst other symbols of solar quantum physics, plus the position of the ley / magnetic line coming out of the back of New Grange. Never stand behind this stone for too long. It is like standing in a sub station. Of course the Triple spirals inside New Grange Give the position of this energy line.
7. Work by Con Connor and colleagues has shown that the site of the Summer Solstice is at Tallaght Hill with a solar alignment over Lambay Island as wth New Grange. A man made pond on the hill at Tallaght Hill splits the sunrise beam into its spectrum. A now defunct dolmen would have separated out the ultraviolet light and Infrared light which on striking the quartz frontage on the unimposing cairn would have energised the layered structure in the cairn in the way that we would expect a capacitor in a car to function. This is a site that is not properly recognised as a monument in as much as it is afforded no protection by the OPW and is not recognised by the Irish Government of any significance.. It is visibly a far more spectacular site than either Tara or New Grange when anticipating and viewing a solar sunrise, because the mechanics of the gold light on the water to make the spectrum can be witnessed which cannot be done in New Grange as nobody knows the routine. There is more to New Grange than watching a light beam move over the ground. Also two vital pieces of stone are missing from New Grange, currently in the basement of the Museum in Kildare Street, that would help to make the magic of New Grange really work. Now you will see the compelling evidence of the ability of Neolithic and Megalithic man in Ireland. My contribution to this calendar has been my expertise in geology. Lambay is the base of an old volcano which is still leaking earth energy, which when mixed with the pre sunrise rays of solar energy, a mixture of solar, cosmic and earth energies to balance the immediate electromagnetic condition and fertility of the land surrounding these cairn settlements. This is very similar to the function for the Christian Round towers in Ireland and the fertility of the monastery lands. Also note that if all the round towers in Ireland are plotted on a map you will see that they mimic the constellations with Draco coming up again as on the back of New Grange.
8. Have you ever noticed that pre 20th century churches are squared in shape, meaning male in energy and control as our Christian Religion is Patriarchal in nature with the Feminine energy being suppressed, plus expression of natural sexual energy and fecundity. Also most, not all, churches are aligned east –west along the equinoxial alignment. They are also built over water lines and magnetic lines flowing up the nave with a crossing stream crossing at the trancepts. In pagan times the centre of a circle would have had a standing stone or larger flat stone to ‘modify’ the centre of the vortex called the ‘Altering Stone’. Recently shortened to Alter. It was known in those times that crystals give out vibrations and later in early Christian times the priest would have stood over the centre of the vortex and raised his hand perhaps with a large amethyst ring on the inside of his hand to modulate this energy and to beam it out to the congregation as the blessing energy. Please note that baptismal fonts are usually located over smaller crossovers and of course water is used to convey the electromagnetic vibration to the new entrant.
If in doubt, read St. John’s in the Bible. In the beginning there was the ‘Word’ meaning vibration. It is an excellent explanation of electro magnetics and quantum physics or the scientific view of life as it really is unfolding, written in a language suitable for the local vernacular of the time. Whoever wrote this stuff were amazing scientists!
9. Most old monasteries with a surrounding wall and maybe a round tower would have had a ‘Key’ Stone marking the water lines or magnetic lines that crossed in the chapels, under the round towers or spiralled around beehive structures for healing purposes. No archaeologist I know of at present would use divining techniques to identify if there was any alignment associated with the Lismullen national monument while it is still in position as the post holes may have been a precursor to something to be built later as in New Grange.
10. If Lismullen is indeed a calendrical device it would have had alignments with the surrounding landscape to get markers, probably masked by trees and hedges at present or buildings as at Knowth. I bet that Mary Deevey and the NRA have not given this much thought.
11. We must also show credit to our ancestors as the Tara valley and Tara where part of a Royal City with a university which is to be expected in all citadels of previous civilisations.
12. In the modern Ireland we are noticing the fall off of interest in maths and science. It is totally understandable in the context forcing young people of a feminine culture into a male culture of profit for profits sake, when what is natural for the ‘Feminine’ Irish is an interest in seeing and expressing the natural phenomena that we call science and maths through art, music and words, which after all are expressions of frequencies in a beautiful harmonious order that is both pleasing and up lifting to the human spirit. The Renaissance in the Middle Ages was an expression of the same Feminine energy in Europe.
Putting a motorway through Tara Valley is akin to running the Green line Luas down Dawson Street and through the Long Library in Trinity to link up with the Red Line luas and using the book of Kells as loo roll or for wrapping up soggy under cooked Irish chips. It makes a load of sense if you happen to be in Fianna Fail and are a member of the cabinet with no university degree. It is direct and practical and who in Dublin actually visits the Book of Kells on a regular basis?
On a sad note. The Gabhra Stream is to be covered over and lost. England, Wales and Scotland all revere their National symbols of the Goddess in the form of a white horse. Edain Echraidhe. It symbolises the balance in society and the importance of our ‘Feminine’ side. What Archaeologist is going to recognise this feature as important to our national cultural heritage? Do we actually care in a modern Ireland?
The discovery of the Lismullen National Monument was made after the Members of Lismullen Institute otherwise known as the head quarters of Opus Dei in Ireland , meaning the Vatican’s €10 million Embassy in Ireland, wanted more protection for the graves of ancient friars. The road alignment was pushed eastwards towards the monument of Rahtlugh, where undercover of night trees were illegally cut down and one operative was nearly killed. He probably deserved it for a criminal activity on behalf of the NRA.
It is astonishing that the Lismullen Institute can hold Lectures / presentations on Irish culture and yet stay silent over blatant destruction of our national heritage. Disturbingly, the diversion of the M3 from the obvious western route that is straight and 6 KM shorter with the potential for a train line to the centre of Dublin with no M50 interchage blockage, has been diverted for a reason.
25% of the cost of the new motorways goes on buying up land. How much was paid to the members of Opus Die who own the Pope’s Embassy. The Vatican is very clever to keep a distance for legal reasons as many Irish citizens recently found out. The upper eschelons of Irish Society belong to exclusive private groups with members in private business, self made men, civil servants and the church. Opus Die, The Masons and The Knights of Columbanus to name a few. These people are very influential and as organisations can have a persuasive influence on national economic decisions that can effect how money is spent, how legal decisions are arrived at and how planning and development decisions are made, whether they are strictly legal or not in a constitutional manner. There are too many questions left unanswered about this motorway and as Austin Darragh said the decision to locate it in the Tara Valley is absolutely mad.
The recent decision to develop Bremore as a deep water port south of Drogheda will need a motorway structure which will be the new C route outer orbital route that will come through the Blundlestown junction north of Tara which was in the ownership of a Fianna Fail Councillor. This junction will have to be flood lit and will be subject to commercial development, thus destroying the wonderful night time spiritual and astronomical experiences at Tara and part of the brilliant vista that you referred to in your programme.
West of Blundlestown is a waste water works. Fianna Fail leaders all know of the importance of the added value of land when a sewer is put in place. Fianna Fail are masters of sewer politics as is now shown at Thorton Hall, Ashbourne , the site of the new prison.
What is extra ordinary about the Neolithic Settlements in the Boyne Valley and indeed across Ireland is the demonstrable evidence of their understanding of Astronomy, Science and Maths that we do not seem to give them credit for. In their age they Knew about quartz as a technology and electricity except their perception was may be different and probably healthier, as they did not have the benefit of Nichola Tesla’s experiments and discoveries which lead to alternating current and high frequency electronics that are cancer inducing. They were truly working with Macro electronics and solar energy. Perhaps we should be looking to the past to find the solutions for the future and our health..
On being elected Founding Chairman of the Irish Solar Energy Association Ltd. in 2001., I addressed the 45 members by saying that ‘ Rarely does a small group of Irish people get the opportunity to continue 5,000 years of superb solar engineering’.
To finish and this is the importance of the find at Lismullen. Based on Con Connor’s Druidic Calendar, Dublin and Meath now has proof of a heritage as important as Machu pichu in Peru or the Pyramids in Egypt. This is potentially a huge tourism money spinner. Or are we killing the goose that laid the Golden Egg for the sake and profit of poorly educated developers, councillors and politicians?.
When they Egyptian Authorities in Cairo wanted to build a motorway the shortest distance from the airport to the city they discovered that it would have transected the site of the pyramids. Realising that this would have a serious effect on the tourist potential they found another route . The difference between the Egyptian Cabinet and the Irish cabinet is that Egyptian cabinet Ministers have to have third level qualifications so that they can have a good sense of discernment.
What we have in Ireland is the Irish Cabinet working with the members of Opus Die and the Masons to build a nice motorway for the Pope to drive along on the next visit to his new embassy and to show that the Roman Catholic Church is supreme and dominant over all Irish Culture and anything ‘Feminine’.
Time to call it what it really is : ‘The Pope’s Motorway’ and not the M3. What a truly MAD way to plan and run a country!
