TARA na RÍ
The pictures below were sent in to Druidschool by dancers or drummers having a rest and taking pot shots with their cameras. Good fun was had by all and despite the heavy weather - the dancing went on for nearly 40 minutes. A funny image below shares the humour of the pink turtle - the lady showing her head is a strong campainer to Save Tara Valley. Our tent was across from the pink turtle in the village beside the Vigil Fire.
The humerous pink turtle of Tara
Chating before the dancing - even though it was grey cloud and windy - spot the bright colours on these dancers.
Calling to the ancestors to wake up and to stay awake in native Gaelic is a powerful thing to do especially while dancing in circle to the beat of the drum on the Hill of Tara. Young and old, male and female, old friends and new all seeking connection to their ancestors - I reckon it is a calling to nurture Pagan Spirituality.
Large video of this dancing is to be broken up into sections and loaded up online soon...
